Clare–Thank you for the most amazing gift ever received from someone I’ve never even met (and NOT because I want to toot my own horn but because if you’re not reading her blog, you really, really should be, please go here: Life on the C Train).
And Caroline–Thank you for knowing without me saying that a little hand-holding might be needed yesterday, and for taking it upon yourself to make sure I had plenty of good in my day to way outweigh the bad.
Because of you all, what by rights should’ve or could’ve been a fairly crap day turned out to be a pretty fabulous day. With the exception of my kiddos heading off for a weeklong vacation with The Ex and The Girlfriend (because there’s nothing anyone could say to make that very fun for me), I smiled and laughed and was emotionally moved over and over and over again. I can’t sufficiently explain how absolutely unworthy of it I feel I am, but I am insanely grateful for the repeated compliments and cheers and pats on the back. I am utterly grateful to have such an amazing support system and to have so many fabulous people in my corner. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And then thank you again.

Love you, Mere! As someone who’s been through the lovely 1-year anniversary date (but under admittedly different circumstances), I know how important it is to have an excellent support system. I’m so glad that you have an army behind you to help you through this!
Have a fabulous 4th, and say hello to Willie for me!
